Buck

Buck can be added to nearly any step that has rock steps.

• Keep both knees bent, weight on the balls of the feet.
• Heels hit the floor but don’t take weight.

Single Buck = rock step is replaced by “ball, heel ball”

Single Buck with Knocks = rock step is replaced by “ball, knock ball”

Double Buck = rock step is replaced by “heel ball, heel ball”

Double Buck with Knocks = rock step is replaced by “knock ball, heel ball”

Progression:

1. Add Single Buck to: Single Basics, Triples, Fancy Doubles, Rocking Chair, etc.
2. Add Single Buck with Knocks to: Gallops
3. Add Double Buck to: Single Basics, Triples, Fancy Doubles, Double Basic, Stomp Doubles, (and any step that includes them)
4. Add Double Buck with Knocks to: Chain Rock, Joey, Time Step
